Hellow there, now I'll share my knowledge about Linux Debian OS. Debian for me, used for server configuration for local network. It's good and stable for a network server, also the security good as well. You can make mail server, proxy server, ssh server, etc, with this OS. It's open sorce software , it means FREE !! with such great ability for a local server, you can get it FREE !! free to modify as well.
